I’m a Spanish and English speaking professional male voiceover artist and was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México in 1970.

I grew up experiencing the music and arts scene, as my father was a music director and teacher at a local University “Universidad Regiomontana, Difusión Cultural”.

I started acting at an early age, with my first lead role in the play, “The Little Prince” at age 5. I acted in numerous other productions including, “Winnie the Pooh” and Christmas specials for television shows.

At 11 I started my professional singing career with a group called “Chispas” and we had our first major recording contract with CBS Columbia Records. For the following 3 years we toured all over México doing live performances on shows such as “Siempre en Domingo” and “Canta Niño Canta”.

At the age of 14, I immigrated to the USA to live in San Antonio, Texas, which is still my home. During my years in High School, my father and I opened our home recording studio called J.I. Productions. We recorded many local artist including various rap groups, Master “Mixin” Mando, Tejano singers and others. It is during this time I started to get involved with computers and music, sequencing with Commodore computers then Atari and later IBM PC’s.

After graduating from high school, I completed the basic and advance course at Audio Engineering Institute with my mentor and still good friend, Marius Perron III.
This opened new doors for me and helped me start a career in the live audio recording and music industry.
My first job was doing live sound engineering for local cover bands like “Michael, Michael and the Max”, “The Klocks”, “The View”, among others.

In 1993, Marius Perron III, recommended me to Richard Veliz, owner of New Age Recording studios, where I worked for 3 years using new production technology like ProTools hard disk recording systems and doing voice-overs for radio commercials, television post production, sound design and more.

My experiences with Richard Veliz and Keith Harter helped me get a job in Holywood, at radio stations, KLVE 107.5 fm and KTNQ 1020 AM owned by Hefftel Communications, now Hispanic Broadcasting in 1995.

By 1996, I returned to San Antonio started singing with a local band named Chakaré, playing Spanish rock and Pop music at local venues.

In 1997, I started working for a new video production house named DIVA digital. I was in charge of the audio production and post production of TV and radio commercials and some video production as well.

In summer of 1998, I was offered the position of production director for a new radio station in town, KLEY “La Ley” 94.1 FM own by Spanish Broadcast Systems. From 1998 until August 2000, I was Production Director. From 2000 until 2002 I was part of the morning show “El Vacilon de la Ley” Monday thru Friday from 5 am ’til 10 am with my radio name: UrsuloUrbina, Gummby Gamboa, Rusty Russell, Mayito Mayers, and Chito Paez. (gorgoritos y la guacamaya.)

Since the year 2000, I’ve been freelancing for Univision channel 41, as host and reporter for entertainment news segments as well as recording voice-overs, on-camera commercials, and live remote broadcasts. “Estrenos de Hollywood” airs every Thursday at 10:00 pm.

Currently, I’m working full-time with Keith Harter in his state of the art studio facility. I’m also doing freelance work as voice and on-camera talent.

Thank You for taking the time to read my bio.
